Stick To Your Guns has signed to SharpTone Data and is now streaming the crushing two-track EP, Invisible Rain. The entire thing clocks in at just below 5 minutes and can kick your ass clear into subsequent week. Invisible Rain was engineered by Beau Burchell (Saosin) and Stick To Your Guns guitarist Chris Rawson with mixing and mastering by Jeff Dunne (Knocked Loose, Currents).
“‘The alienation from the self is a consequence of being a mechanistic a part of a social class, the situation of which estranges an individual from their humanity,'” wrote Stick To Your Guns vocalist Jesse Barnett.
“This EP is in regards to the concept of alienation. The methods through which now we have been alienated from ourselves, our work, our lives and in the end one another. How are we to care about something past ourselves after we ourselves are in a continuing state of survival. The consequence of that is the society that at the moment envelopes us. One which preys on our decencies and our good will and turns it in opposition to us. There’s a lot to despair about in in the present day’s world however our future has but to be written. We are able to both write it or will probably be written for us.
