Alice In Chains guitarist and vocalist Jerry Cantrell, has introduced the arrival of hello new solo album I Need Blood, dropping this October 18 through Double J Music.
“This document is a critical piece of labor. It is a motherfucker,” says Cantrell. “It is arduous, little question, and fully in contrast to Brighten. And that is what you need, to finish up in a unique place. There is a confidence to this album. I feel it is a few of my greatest songwriting and enjoying, and positively a few of my greatest singing.”
The album’s first style comes through the primary single “Vilified”, of which Cantrell says: “‘Vilified’ travels numerous locations in simply 4 and a half minutes. It is bought a ferocity and actually aggressive vibe to it.”
I Need Blood options contributions from bass heavyweights Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses) and Robert Trujillo (Metallica), drummers Gil Sharone (Crew Sleep, Stolen Infants) and Mike Bordin (Faith No More), and backing vocals from Lola Colette and Greg Puciato (Higher Lovers, ex-Dillinger Escape Plan).
