De Mannen Broeders is the brand new collaboration between Colin H. van Eeckhout (Amenra) and the Zeeuws Flemish folks icon Tonnie ‘broeder’ Dieleman. The duo is now streaming their contemplative debut single “Gradschrift” alongside a music video shot and edited by Diana Lungu at PKN church in Axel, NL.
On the collaboration, van Eeckhout supplied: “As a creating artist, it is these encounters that you simply pray for. As quickly as you meet somebody like that, you need to do one thing collectively.”
Dieleman added: “My work is all about dying and unhappiness. For me, music began with my mom dying; my first album is about her dying. That is a robust reference to Colin, too, as he misplaced his father.”
De Mannen Broeders will launch their debut album Sober Maal on October 11. Sober Maal was written and recorded in beneath 5 days on the 18th century church Doopsgezinde Kerk in Middelburg within the Netherlands, courtesy of LeGuessWho? Competition.
