Judas Priest has introduced a very remixed and remastered model of their 1974 debut album Rocka Rolla. The brand new model was finished by longtime Judas Priest collaborator Tom Allom, who stated the aim of Rocka Rolla 2024 was to solely improve what already exists.
“What we did with the multitracks is sort of uncommon, to utterly remix an album from that period, from scratch. So to make clear what we’re doing, we’re not including something musically. We’re not re-recording any of the musical components… We’re remixing them, rebalancing them utilizing the know-how we have now, the fashionable instruments we have now now, to sonically improve them, and make them sound extra highly effective.”
So why remix and remaster Rocka Rolla in 2024? Simple – as a result of the unique combine and grasp form of sucked.
“I took the report… and I put the needle onto the groove and I sat again. And I simply slowly began to deflate, deflate.” stated Judas Priest vocalist Rob Halford upon listening to the unique Rocka Rolla for the primary time.
