Little Evil is a superb and hilarious riff on the hit 1976 horror movie The Omen, leaving no stone unturned on the subject of making delicate homages to the movie within the type of story traces, character sketches, and quite a few different little references any fan of the basic film would remember to catch. For instance, the character performed by Sally Subject, Miss Shaylock, is a spoof of Mrs. Baylock (performed by Billie Whitelaw), the protecting cult member/nanny from The Omen.
After all, little Lucas is a funnier, extra precocious model of the malevolent Damien from The Omen. However Lucas is simply “slightly evil,” in line with his new stepfather, in contrast to the David Seltzer toddler that was really the satan incarnate.
