There’s loads of controversy surrounding the film already with the movies advertising and marketing workforce dialing up a little bit of trolling in direction of the previous and perhaps future President of the US.
And with that, The Apprentice’s director, Ali Abbasi, had some not-so-subtle phrases concerning the American folks and their (in his view) unwillingness to make this sort of film about Trump.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Abbasi outlined a number of the hurdles the film went via because the time of its inception and the way they’d bother discovering people within the business keen to do enterprise.
Abbasi stated, “My calculation was that the People didn’t have the balls to do that film themselves — and I didn’t actually become mistaken.”
