The-Dream calls sexual battery lawsuit ‘character assassination,’ denies claims

Grammy-winning singer and songwriter is denying the entire claims leveled towards him from a lady who alleges he “lured” her into an “abusive, violent, and manipulative relationship.”

Legal professionals for the 46-year-old musician, whose actual identify is Terius Gesteelde-Diamant, detailed his “categorical” denials of any non-consensual sexual acts and violence in a movement to dismiss submitting in California federal courtroom reviewed by USA TODAY Friday.

Plaintiff Chanaaz Mangroe’s June 4 grievance included allegations that have been a “character assassination” of Gesteelde-Diamant, his attorneys wrote.

Thirty-three-year-old Mangroe, professionally generally known as Channii Monroe, filed a lawsuit that was a “legally inadequate hit piece” with “300 paragraphs of largely irrelevant, inaccurate, and deliberately out-of-context allegations,” reads Friday’s submitting by Gesteelde-Diamant’s attorneys. “The Grievance weaponizes damaging racial stereotypes towards Diamant that he and others have confronted—and tried to beat—their total lives.”
