Thrash Legend & Big Bird Watcher, Apparently

James Hetfield – legendary thrash icon, up-and-coming-name within the cigar world, large automotive nerd, and apparently huge time chicken watcher.

In accordance with Hetfield in a current episode of The Metallica Report, he is obtained six chicken feeders at residence and an app to determine which species he is taking a look at.

“I really like all animals. I really like them… particularly with salt and cooked medium uncommon,” stated Hetfield. “No! I really like the beasts of this planet, they’re so cool.

“On my time without work, I am obsessive about having a cigar on the porch and I’ve obtained in all probability about six chicken feeders. I do know all of the birds that come on the market and I’ve obtained my little app that has chicken noises and I can see which one they’re and I am going to pull it up and discuss to ’em and all that stuff. I really like that stuff, I adore it. Till the bears are out of hibernation in Colorado they usually’ve come and destroyed all my chicken feeders.”

Hetfield later defined his fascination with animals general, evaluating their instinct-driven lives to the final hellscape that’s being a human being.

“I do reside in a spot the place there’s animals on a regular basis and I get to see ’em. I love the wolf, I love the eagle, I love the buffalo, I love the elk,” he says. “I wish to assume that people have been so distracted by the worldly clamour that we have forgotten about survival and all these animals get up considering – effectively, I do not know what they’re considering, however – what I visualise is that they need to eat, so that is what they do.

“They exit and seek for meals and that’s their function for the day. They need not fear about all the opposite shit. On the finish of the day, being grateful for the truth that I had meals, that is all I would like for at present.”
