Lately, I’ve been utilizing the X platform and this website to report on the present state of the net publishing trade.
Earlier this week, Valnet, the media firm that owns web sites equivalent to Display Rant, Recreation Rant, Film Internet, Collider, and CBR, issued a stop and desist letter by which it claims my journalism “disparage[s],” “tarnish[es] and harm[s] Valnet’s fame,” “defame[s] Valnet’s credibility,” constitutes “harassment,” incorporates “abusive statements” and “deliberately and maliciously spew[s] false, frivolous and slanderous accusations about Valnet.”
Under are two of the X posts cited in Valnet’s stop & desist letter as “illegal.”
Following is the total stop and desist letter despatched to me by Miranda Ciavaglia, Valnet’s authorized counsel, which incorporates extra examples of the posts Valnet believes to be actionable.
