A hanging departure from Daya’s earlier work, “Do not Name” sees the celebrated songstress diving into the realms of drum & bass whereas sustaining her signature pop attract. The track’s ethereal synths and spritely rhythms create an unlimited, expansive soundscape that contrasts fantastically with the intimate, confined vitality that impressed its creation. Written in a small room in a Swedish constructing that when served as a jail, the track seems like a heartfelt escape, Daya’s falsettos and aching vocals hovering over the manufacturing.
