Gothenburg’s melodic loss of life steel legends, Dark Tranquillity, are celebrating not one however two main milestones. After the profitable launch of their thirteenth studio album, Endtime Indicators, by Century Media Information, the band has introduced a much-anticipated vinyl reissue of their 1999 album Projector.
Projector, a fan favourite, marked a major shift for Dark Tranquillity, as they started exploring extra atmospheric and various parts of their sound. This launch additionally marked the start of the band’s lengthy partnership with Century Media Information and earned them their first nomination for a Swedish Grammis Award. The album’s progressive strategy to melodic loss of life steel has made it a standout, and its reissue comes simply in time to rejoice its 25th anniversary.
Initially recorded at Gothenburg’s famed Studio Fredman with Fredrik Nordström (identified for his work with In Flames, Arch Enemy, and At The Gates), the album’s 10 essential tracks have been remastered by Dan Swanö at Unisound (Opeth, Katatonia, Edge Of Sanity) for this particular 2024 vinyl version.
