One of many causes that the hype for The Phantom Menace was so nice is that George Lucas and his group knew precisely how you can get followers excited. The chief method they did so is with the primary trailer for the film, one which portrayed the upcoming movie as one other sprawling, epic story of fine versus evil. And if the trailer made Star Wars followers excited, the poster that includes Darth Vader as Anakin Skywalker’s shadow, successfully foreshadowing a metamorphosis that will shake all the galaxy, took issues to the subsequent degree.
So far as film posters go, this one was delightfully minimal: it merely reveals Jake Lloyd’s younger Anakin Skywalker strolling on Tatooine whereas his shadow seems on the aspect of a hut. Look carefully, although, and also you’ll see that the form doesn’t match the younger boy’s physique. As a substitute, we see Star Wars villain Darth Vader’s shadow, as evidenced by the form of his iconic helmet and cape.
